We are off to a good start to this school year! Just a few reminders:
Homework
Please look in your child's take home folder daily for notes, completed work, homework to be completed and homework log. Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday. Please sign the homework log daily including any comments you wish to make about your child's progress. This is an excellent home-to-school communication log to ensure we are working toward common goals set for your child's education. The completed homework log is due each Friday morning.Classroom Temperature
Our classroom temperature is pretty cool. Please send a light jacket or sweatshirt with your child to school. Many of the students complain about being cold. Breakfast
Many of the students begin asking "Is it time for lunch?" around 10:00. Please see that your child is eating breakfast before coming to class. It is said to be the most important meal of the day!Progress Reports
Progress reports go home this week! It's hard to believe we've been in school long enough for this to happen, yet it is that time already! BEAR EXPECTATIONS

Afternoon Dismissal
Students will be walked to the buses by a teacher from their grade level. Car riders will be walked to the lunchroom by a teacher from their grade level. As a safety precaution, students who are car riders are to walk to the lunchroom and wait to be dismissed from faculty on duty. Students are not to meet their parents in the lobby and leave from there. Once in the lunchroom, students are to quietly sit at their assigned tables and wait to be called as parents are available to pick them up. If you pick your child up in the car-rider line, please watch faculty on duty for cues to pull forward. Our goal is to load children into the cars as safely and efficiently as possible. Always pull forward so we can load several cars at once.
